Location and facilities

The villa is situated only a few steps from the medieval heart of Bol, yet its location is extremely tranquil and offers a lot of privacy. Even so, you can take a plunge into ever calm and clean sea just in front of the villa. There is a direct access to the pine immersed marble pathway leading to the famous “Golden Horn” beach, which is only 10 minutes walk. Alongside the path lay more beautiful pebble beaches and throughout the vicinity numerous coves with crystal clear water are scattered.
Virtually everything you need is within very short walking distance – restaurants, bars, bakeries, pizzerias, supermarkets, open market (fresh fish, fruits and vegetables), rent-a-car (also bikes and motorcycles), post office, bank, pharmacy, open air cinema… Sport facilities are also steps away from the house – diving, snorkeling, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, banana boating… Tennis courts, scuba diving and wind surfing center are also within walking distance. Bol is one of the main centers for wind surfing on the Adriatic.
Four complimentary bikes are at guests’ disposal.

Villa is immersed in lush greenery. Scent of lavender, cypress, pine and ever blossoming oleanders all add to the unique and charismatic Mediterranean feeling.

Sea breeze makes even the hottest days quite pleasant. In a pine shade, a 7 by 4m pool is situated. Its sunbathing platform is spatious and tiled with traditional stone slabs.

The pool is illuminated. An outdoor shower is also at guests’ disposal, as well as a number of pieces of cosy garden furniture.

Bol was voted Absolute Champion of Croatian Tourism on many occasions, last time in 2010, among more than 2000 contesting town and cities. But Bol is not about some of the most exquisite Adriatic beaches only. The little town (population ca. 1600) is dotted with small parks and numerous sculptures of local artists. The medieval town center is not extensive, but, like everything else, it is spotlessly maintained. All necessities are within easy reach. A visit to any of the seafood restaurants is a must – one can enjoy fresh delicacies on the very seashore. Quality local products include virgin olive oil and highly praised red wine, Bolski plavac. Bol has an average of 2600 sunshine hours a year and July sea temperature is usually around 25 degrees C. Daily breeze changes make air temperature quite enjoyable.

Split Airport is about 50 km away plus a 50 min ferry ride from Split to Supetar, Brac. Ferries are very frequent. Air taxi between the two airports can be arranged. There is also daily high speed passenger ferry from Split to Bol.
Other small towns on Brac, some with stunning traditional and medieval architecture are just a short drive away. The roads are excellent.

There is a variety of organized day excursions to Korcula, Mljet, Hvar, Vis and other beautiful nearby islands and towns – all boats leave from small Bol Harbour, which is five minutes walk from the villa. A Benedictine Monastery in Bol is also worth a visit, due to its remarkable collection of art work. A half day boat tour to nearby Blaca Hermitage (Pustinja Blaca, today a museum) is very popular.

After you’ve reached Split, a regular bus line can take you to Omis pretty fast. The symbol of Omis must be the pirates of Omis, whose ships represented their courage, resistance and strength. You can see the traces of this history anywhere you go, as the churches and fortresses are there as evidence of the power that these pirates had. They were once one of the most powerful pirates on the Mediterranean Sea, ruling the Adriatic for more than three centuries until the whole Dalmatia fell under the Venetian Republic, with one exception of Omis, who managed to defened themselves for 24 years.
