The renovation of the hamlet began in 2000., with the aim of restoring its original appearance. “The peaceful atmosphere of island of Vis, the smell of immortelle, rosemary, sage and heather, the warmth of a baker’s oven, crickets, the wind blowing through pines at midday, the voices of field laborers in the valley, all of this is indelibly etched on my childhood memory, when, as a little girl, I used to spend much of my summer breaks at my grand-grandmother Franina’s”.
Some of these feelings and memories have influenced the renovation, and form its integral part. Apart from the renovation and the development of eco-tourism, we wish to work out and start visual art, musical, architectural, theatrical and literary workshops for our guests and friends…
We offer our guests accommodation in completely renovated old island houses located in a unique natural surrounding, and with a beautiful view of the sea and the islands of the southern Adriatic.
The property offers a unique opportunity for looking into the history, culture, and architecture of the island’s rural region.
