In the NE side of the island, there are many fisherman and tourist villages in natural coves, and the most famous are Kukljica, Kali, Preko and Ugljan. The other side of the island is uninhabited and has many coves, islands and the rich undersea world that challenges scuba- diversAdmirers of Mediterranean landscapes can enjoy in many unforgettable panoramas, and the special is the one from Venetian fort of St Michael (Sv. Mihovil XIII century). There are many testimonies about man’s presence in this area roman ruins, ancient Croatian churches, convents, architecture in stone and many summer houses.
