Rustic stone villa with pool in Stari Grad Hvar island – This beautiful rustic stone villa is located on the sunny island of Hvar, between Stari Grad and Vrboska, in natural and relaxing settings. The whole property is spread on 8500 square meters, and there are no neighbors or houses around so privacy is guaranteed. This is the place to relax and absorb all the benefits of the fresh Mediterranean air that contributes to your mind and your soul.

Villa consists of two separate houses – Central house that consists of basement, ground floor, and upper floor. The basement is used as a boiler room and wine cellar. The ground floor consists of an open plan kitchen fully equipped for everyday living, living room, and dining room with fireplace and direct exit to the terrace. The dining room can accommodate 8 to 12 people comfortably. On this floor, there are two en-suite double bedrooms and one guest’s toilet. On the first floor of the main house, there are two more double bedrooms, each with bathroom, one with shower and the other with bathtub.

The second house consists of 3 houses in a row. The first house has a dining area with table and chairs for 10 persons, barbecue and summer kitchen. Right next to this house is a laundry room with a washing machine, iron, and a shower. The third house has one more double bedroom with its own bathroom.

In front of the house, there is a shaded dining place for 12 people and a summer kitchen. There is a stone tavern that is renovated and you can find both inside and outside the fireplace and bread oven (the kitchen is fully equipped with a new dishwasher, fridge, and four gas plates). Mountain bikes are available for our guests to use for free.

The total number of guests that can be accommodated in the villa is 10+2.

The stone terrace consists of the 28 square meters, 1.5 meters deep heated swimming pool surrounded by the greenery, garden table with chairs, sunbeds, and parasols. Seasonal, organic fruit from the villa’s garden is available for the guests to enjoy them.

Villa is approximately 800 meters away from the sea, the nearest beach is Oskorušica, a peaceful bay consisting of only one house.

Only 5 minutes’ drive from the villa you can enjoy small towns of Jelsa, Stari Grad, and Vrboska with wonderful restaurants, bars, and shops.

Villa owners offer a welcome lunch for the guests, included in the price.

Private parking and Wi-Fi are provided.

Younger group of guests are welcome!

Rustic Mediterranean House for Rent Stari Grad Hvar: The old Dalmatian rural house, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century bathed in sunlight and enveloped with scents dominates the estate which extends over 30,000 m2. It was recently completely renovated in authentic style.

Situated on the wondrous island of Hvar from which on clear nights one can see the lights of Italy, surrounded by cypress trees, lavender, rosemary, and sage, it will provide an unforgettable romantic holiday for 8 people within a labyrinth of stone fences, in the quiet stillness of a field, 2 hours from Split. Your privacy is guaranteed by a large garden of over 3 hectares. Within the stone-walled yard, there is an outside barbecue with a wood oven and large table for 12 people, an outside relaxation area, main house with two separate houses: barely a few meters away from one another and connected by a path, altogether making a single unit.

All the areas are heated, equipped with new and antique furniture. You have at your disposal refrigerators, gas stove and oven, café machine, mixer, toaster, pots and pans, glasses, plates and everything else you may need for a pleasant stay. The kitchen and living room are connected in an area of 70 m2 in total. Each room has its own bathroom.

Room no.1 is a separate small house which together with the toilet is 50 m2 in size; the room has two separate beds + couch (option of auxiliary bed for two).

Room no. 2 is located on the first floor with an area of 35 m2. It has a double bed, shower, and toilet. It has the option of an auxiliary bed or children’s bed.

Room no. 3 is located on the first floor with an area of 35 m2. The room has a double bed, shower, and toilet. It has the option of an auxiliary bed or children’s bed.

Room no. 4 is a separate small house with an area of 30 m2. The room has two separate beds, bathroom with a tub and toilet. It has the option of an auxiliary bed or children’s bed.

When the Greeks arrived from Pharos 384 BC they established a settlement what is now called Stari Grad. The Plain is also known as Ager or Hora and has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2008.
Stari Grad Plain has been described as the largest most productive field on the Adriatic Coast, where little has changed since the Ancient Greeks introduced an agricultural colony more than 24 centuries ago. Parcelization of Starigrad’s Field is one of the great work of Greeks culture in the Mediterranean. The land has been divided into geometric parcels, divided by stone walls and had a rainwater collection system including gutters and water storage. The basic Greek parcelization has remained untouched for 2400 years due to the burning historical events over the centuries and later divisions of the land within the field. The unique value of the Stari Grad Plain was recognized by these criteria:
The land parcel system, dating from the 4th century BC, of Stari Grad Plain witnesses to the dissemination of the Greek geometrical model for the dividing up of agricultural land in the Mediterranean world.
The agricultural plain of Stari Grad has remained in continuous use, with the same initial crops being produced, for 2400 years. This bears witness to its permanency and sustainability down the centuries.
The agricultural plain of Stari Grad and its environment are an example of very ancient traditional human settlement, which is today under threat from modern economic development, particularly from rural depopulation and the abandonment of traditional farming practices.
Greeks also built stone shelters known as trims that are interspersed in the field and all the succeeded generations have respected and maintained the original layout and crops as an example of Ancient Greeks life.

Villa is a perfect large holiday home on one of the most beautiful islands in the world. A stunning and spacious old two storey house, newly restored, respecting tradition, yet comfortably contemporary – the perfect luxury holiday villa.

Totally renovated recently, the holiday home is very spacious, with four large bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large upstairs kitchen and smaller downstairs kitchen, two lounges and terraces upstairs and at ground level that offer great views and the chance to catch some sun.

The villa is quiet and private. There is a garden to the side of the house, and an orchard to the front to enjoy and relax in. The villa offers plenty of different places for you to have a barbecue and for kids to play.

The upstairs area has a kitchen and lounge with two rooms with large double beds and a large family-sized bathroom with large bath and large walk-in shower.

Downstairs there are two bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen, and a large living area. Whilst it is one house with internal stairs, because there are outside steps as well you can access separately the upstairs part of the house. One of the 2 downstairs bedrooms is en suite and has its own outside entrance. One downstairs room has a large double bed. The other has two large single beds. Additional child beds can be set up in the downstairs lounge. There is also a cot.

The villa is laid out so that two or three couples or families sharing the house could each have privacy.

Stari Grad was founded by the ancient Greeks in 285/4 BC. They called it Pharos. It is reckoned to be one of the oldest settlements in the Adriatic.

Liability
The amenities of the property are used entirely at hirer’s own risk.

Damages
We ask you to treat the villa as though it is your own home. The villa is checked before guests arrive and when they leave. In the case of damages occurring, we would expect you to let us know about these (beyond reasonable wear and tear) and to pay for these.
